Global TEFL Partners Terms & Conditions

1. Payment & Booking

1.1 Once your application has been provisionally accepted by Global TEFL Partners, you will be asked to pay a deposit fee of $500 to LanguageCorps Asia which is fully refundable and the outstanding balance of the course fee must be paid 30 day before your course start date.

1.2 If for any reason you decide to cancel your place on a course, after you have made your deposit payment, Global TEFL Partners cannot provide any refunds if we have already incurred costs in arranging your placement or if we have already refused other applicants. We will however hold your deposit payment in reserve for up to 12 months if you need to cancel for any reason and join a course at a later date.

1.3 You can defer start date only once without loss of your fees. You may defer your TEFL/TESOL course start date up to 12 months of your deposit being paid. If you have paid in full you may also defer your TEFL/TESOL course start date up to a period of 18 months of your deposit being paid, any deferred start date after the times specified will result in a total loss of fees.

1.4 The deposit can be used as part payment for any course on any date, subject to the availability of places. Applications cannot be transferred or deferred within 30 days of the start of a course that the applicant has agreed to attend. The balance of the course fee must be paid by credit card or in cash upon arrival at the training centre on the first day of the course.

1.5 If your course is cancelled for any reason. Your course fee's will be refunded minus your deposit but this may vary due to international currency exchange rates and Global TEFL Partners will not be liable for any shortfall.

1.5 We have never cancelled a course due to lack of numbers however, If for any reason a course has to be cancelled for any reason we can offer you the following options.

a) A place on an alternative course date and/or location
b) A full refund of your deposit payment (See 1.2 and 1.4)

1.6 You are requested NOT to book flights or make any travel arrangements until you have received a second written confirmation of your placement from Global TEFL Partners authorised staff. (You will receive this second confirmation within 7 days of making your deposit payment)

1.7 Global TEFL Partners will not be held responsible for compensating or reimbursing any travel or accommodation costs, including flights and all other related expenses, under any circumstances whatsoever.

1.8 All students are subject to the disciplinary regulations of the training centre. The course director's decision is final. No refund will be issued to any student who is expelled from a TEFL/TESOL course under any circumstances whatsoever.

2. Disclaimer

2.1 Your use of our service is at your own risk. Neither Global TEFL Partners, nor any of its subsidiaries, divisions, affiliates, agents, representatives or licensers shall be liable to you or anyone else for any loss or injury or any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive or similar damages arising out of your access or use of, or your inability to access or use, the service and the sites and the information available on the service and the sites or arising out of any action taken in response to or as a result of any information available on the service and the sites. You hereby waive any and all claims against Global TEFL Partners, and its subsidiaries, divisions, affiliates, agents, representatives and licensers arising out of your use of the service and the sites and the information available thereon.

2.2 We've tried to make the information on this web site as accurate as possible, but it is provided 'as is' and we accept no responsibility for any loss, injury or inconvenience sustained by anyone resulting from this information. You should verify critical information (like visas, health and safety, customs and transportation) with the relevant authorities before you travel.

3. Job Placement

3.1 All Global TEFL Partners approved TEFL/TESOL certificates are accepted throughout the world by reputable organizations who employ English Language teachers. This means that you will most likely secure a teaching job before, or shortly after, you complete your TEFL/TESOL course.

3.2 Please remember that all job placements are subject to an interview by the prospective employer. Due to the high number of sub standard applications ESL employers now receive by email we strongly recommend that you call, or visit prospective employers in person, rather than applying by email, to have any hope of a receiving a reply.

3.3 To date, we have not had one single course graduate wanting to teach, who has failed to secure a teaching position in South America, Europe and Asia. However, due to the many dynamics involved in the job recruitment and selection process we are unable to offer a refund of the deposit or course fees to any graduate who is unable to secure any teaching placement under any circumstances whatsoever.

3.4 There are no paid teaching jobs in Africa

3.5 No refund will be given to any candidate who, in our opinion, applied for these job placements solely by email and subsequently did not receive a response from our client schools.

4. Visa

4.1 Visa Assistance. Applicants are responsible for obtaining the appropriate visa for the country they wish to travel to and work in. Global TEFL Partners will not be liable to you or anyone else should you not provide us with the correct information or documentation. No refund will be given if you fall to gain entry to your chosen country. You should obtain a visa before you travel unless the embassy of that country has told you otherwise.

4.2 Full Visa Support. This service only applies to Cambodia, China, Thailand and Vietnam. Global TEFL Partners will help you get the correct visa for the country you wish to travel to.

5. Degree

5.1 It is Global TEFL Partners preference that you have an Associates or BA degree to do a TEFL/TESOL course. If you do not have Associates or BA degree and you still wish to do the course you do so at your own risk.

5.2 Global TEFL Partners will not be liable if you do a course without an Associates or BA degree and do not find a job. If you do find a job you pay will be less than someone who have a degree.

5.3 All applicants must have full and original transcripts of their degree before they leave their respective country.

5.4 You are required to bring you original degree and transcripts with you in order to find a job.

6 Criminal Records Checks

6.1 All applicants must have a Criminal Record Check done before leaving their respective country. You are required to bring the original Criminal Record Check with you as proof of no criminal records or convictions. All school will ask you of this document.
