Our TEFL Training Centre Why TEFL Koh Phangan? Unlike all most other TEFL courses, you will undergo a 40 hour, iTEFL online course as soon as you are accepted on the program. You will have completed most of the grammar and theory modules before you arrive on Koh Phangan which means you will enjoy a more relaxed learning experience on the island. 

This allows you to focus on the more practical aspects of the TEFL course such as teaching practice. You also benefit from more free time to chill out and embrace this amazing tropical paradise!
 Our most popular TEFL training course is based in Koh Phangan is located near the small fishing village of Haad Yao on the north west coast of the island. Haad Yao is around 30 minutes scenic drive from Had Rin and 10 minutes from the main port of Thongsala. This TEFL certificate course is split into two components. You will first complete a 40 hour online TEFL course before arrival and the onsite component of the course is conducted over a 2-week period, Monday to Friday of each week. Classes run from 10.00am to 4.00pm each day and evenings & weekends are free to enjoy the many attractions or to just chill on a deserted beach. The complete course comprises 120 hours, including up to 6 hours teaching practice, which meets international TEFL certification standards. Thailand TEFL is committed to serving the local community by providing free English lessons to local students who otherwise could not afford them. You will gain some experience teaching in a local Thai school, resort and/or government office. The appreciation shown by the students and the local community should not be underestimated! Accommodation Private accommodation is included in the Premium & Premium Plus Packages for 15 nights and is available 2 days before your course start date until 2 days after completion. You will be staying at our nearby resort in a basic but charming *beach hut, room or bungalow. You are assured that our accommodation is clean, comfortable and secure. (*Subject to availability but you wont be more than 1 minute from the beach) All rooms are furnished with bed, linen, fan, toilet/shower room and small balcony. The resort is superbly located right on the beach just 5 minutes from the TEFL training centre, shopping and mini marts. The restaurant is open all day and serves cheap but delicious western & Thai food. Motorbike & jeep hire, tours and internet can be arranged via the resort reception staff. The Full Moon Party If you fancy joining 10,000-20,000 people to dance all night on a beach, paint yourself in UV colours and experience one of the worlds greatest parties, then you might want to extend your stay on KPN for an extra week. It's no coincidence that we have arranged our TEFL courses conveniently between every full moon party! We will do our best to get you a good accommodation deal but you should expect accommodation rates increase dramatically around party time. The full moon party usually takes place the following week after the TEFL course ends. Book your extension as soon as you arrive!  Thai Language Lessons Ten hours of Thai language lessons are included in your TEFL package which will help to prepare you for your experience in Thailand and life in a foreign culture. These Thai lessons also give you an opportunity to experience the problems your students will encounter in learning a new language. Getting Here Our resort is located in Had Yao in the north west side of the island near the port of Thongsala, Koh Phangan. Try to get a flight that arrives on Koh Samui before 11:30am, then go to the taxi desk at the arrival hall at Koh Samui airport and buy a ticket to Thongsala, Koh Phangan. The ticket costs around 250 Baht and includes the boat trip. The mini bus will pick you up just outside the terminal and transfer you to the pier. The airport staff there are very helpful and will advise you. The last fast boat to Thongsala leaves at 1.00pm but there are slow boats running until 6pm (See below). We will do our best to meet you at Thongsala pier but the local drivers are notoriously laid back and somewhat unreliable. If you don’t see our driver you can easily make your own way to your accommodation from Thongsala pier which is only a short ride in a taxi pick up and costs around Baht 200. There will be hundreds of tourists coming off the boat with numerous pick up trucks & mini buses waiting, so you wont be alone.
 If your flight arrives later than 11.30am then go to the taxi desk at Samui airport and book a ticket for the slow boat (40 minutes) to Haad Rin which includes transfer to the pier. In Haad Rin you can easily take a mini bus or pick up taxi (30 minutes) to our resort. The last slow boat leaves around 6pm so you will have to stay on Koh Samui for one night if you arrive at the airport later than say 5pm.
